DREAMING OF A WHITE CHRISTMAS

As we've only got a week left till Christmas, I thought it was time the blog got into the festive spirit! I recently shot and styled this white themed holiday story on location in a fabulous modern home, filled with glass and marble, all in tones of white and grey.

I loved the idea of contrasting all the stark modernity with pastel toned vintage decorations, and picked up the berry filled branches to add a pop of colour.

Prop sources as follows,

Vintage metal cake stand and glass grapes - homeowner's own, but I've seen very similar glass grapes cropping regularly at Sunbury Market.

Vintage pink glass vase - I picked this up at a local junk shop, ages ago.

Vintage glass drop decorations - I made these from vintage chandelier drops, which can be picked up from Ebay, and strung the drops on silver metallic braid from The Cloth House.

Silk and gold braid baubles, vintage fabrics used to wrap presents, copper jelly moulds  - these were all picked up at Sunbury Market.

Similar vintage metallic ribbon can be bought at The Cloth House.

The little wooden bear decoration was from a department store in Geneva.

The white lace print bauble was from Paperchase.
